Andrei Arshavin, mightily impressive in his second half cameo in Zenit’s relatively comfortable victory over United in the UEFA Super Cup, will not be joining Tottenham just yet - so reckons Zenit manager Dick Advocaat. Arshavin has been valued by the Russian side at £22 million but Spurs are apparently unwilling to meet the asking price, Advocaat revealed: “Tottenham offered £16m and that’s not enough, so that’s the end of it.” “They (Tottenham) had several weeks of time to buy him and they did not offer £22m like everybody has been writing, but just £16m, I think that Arshavin costs more than £16m.”  Surprise, surprise.  Read More →
